How would i go about killing gnats? (I have NO Plants)
(I have tried searching everywhere, and everything has to do with plants. but i have no plants. i tried asking on yahoo answers, but someone mentioned it was drain flies, and they arent theyre gnats, and knowing the stupid yahoo system it wont allow me to comment on the question, so i pretty much cant use yahoo answers. so i decided to ask on good ol' zuneboards.)
There are a lot of gnats in my house. I figured out that they were coming from the drain in the bath tub because my cat was peeing in it, but we stopped the cat and sealed the hole off with a screen. So i think i pretty much now have stopped them from entering.. but how would i go about to KILL the gnats that are already in here. please help!
Well...my uncle built a small air cannon that uses pressurized air and salt as a "fly shotgun". The compressed air sends the salt at such at such a high velocity through the air that it rips the flies to shreds. Of course, you could always use boring old sticky traps, or something like that.

I want one. I want to set flies on fire while they're flying, but this sounds less dramatic and still personally satisfying.
Yeah, i have actually tried the sticky traps, they do work, but not at 100%, as it only catches the ones that land ON it.
and Marshillboy... if i was to shoot salt all over my house... it would be just like using a sludge hammer. sure. it may kill the gnats, but it would also kill my house. lol.

Actually, the salt doesn't harm anything but the flies and is a cinch to clean up. Of course, you could always run around the house with a piece of the fly paper, and try to catch as many of those buggers as you can. You could even make it a contest

That site is soo confusing, i see so much weird images.. and actually i already have tried that. it actually worked well... but my mother is out of apple cider.
