Dunno how to do this math problem... help?

Lul, this probably isn't the right place in the forums to post this... so any mod move this to where it should be if there's a better spot... but anyone know how to do this problem? I have to convert 2+2sin2theta to rectangular form.. then graph.. and I have no idea where to begin.

He said R=2+2sin(2theta) I believe. If I'm correct, then you can't convert it to rectangular form considering the fact that that equation is a two leafed clover. You'd need a given value for theta (a number) in order to do so.

Why do you care its the middle of summer. Summer school already ended, atleast for me it did(and no im not retarted im a freshman getting ahead, my mom made me take it).

Polar Relationships:
x = r cos(t)
y = r sin(t)
x^2 + y^2 = r^2.

So:
sin(t) = x / r
cos(t) = y / r
sin(t) = x / sqrt(x^2 + y^2)

r = 2 + 2 sin(2t) (Assuming this is what is meant, as opposed to 2 + 2 sin^2(t))
sqrt(x^2 + y^2) = 2 + 2(sin(2t))
sqrt(x^2 + y^2) = 2 + 2(2 sin(t) + cos(t))
sqrt(x^2 + y^2) = 2 + 2(2(x / sqrt(x^2 + y^2)) + (y / sqrt(x^2 + y^2))
sqrt(x^2 + y^2) = 2 + 4x / sqrt(x^2 + y^2) + y / sqrt(x^2 + y^2)

Multiply by (x^2 + y^2)sqrt(x^2 + y^2)

(x^2 + y^2)^2 = 2((x^2 + y^2)sqrt(x^2 + y^2) + 4x(x^2 + y^2) + y(x^2 + y^2)
x^4 + y^4 + 2(x^2)(y^2) = (2x^2 + 2y^2)(x^2 + y^2)^(1/2) + 4x^3 + 4x(y^2) + (x^2)y + y^3
x^4 + y^4 - 4x^3 - y^3 + 2(x^2)(y^2) - (x^2)y - 4x(y^2) - (2x^2 + 2y^2)(x^2 + y^2)^(1/2) = 0

I think that is right...
