talking to a girl

I'm usually a life of the party guy and can carry on a convo with anyone but theres this one girl that i have my eye on lately and its like she will talk to me but i dont know what to say to her and i get lost in her beauty. so for the first time in my life im having trouble breaking the ice with a girl. anyone have suggestions?

Ask her how her day's going. Be genuinely interested in what she says. Just keep up casual conversation.

Be humorous and make her laugh. Be gentle and speak openly with her.

Try to become that person she likes.

The best thing to do is not but into one of her conversations with someone else, by laughing or talking. This pisses people off or just makes you look like an idiot. Like Volpe said smalltalk will get you far, more than likely you will not know this girl so talking about anything else might be kind of odd. So what I entourage you to do is walk up to her depending on where you are and what you are doing ask her to dance or help you with something. If she says no then oh well go on to the next girl its not the worst thing. Do not be afraid of females and just be confident. Most ladies love confident men (not cocky confident) yes you may feel dumb when if she rejects you but just think of it this way you have learned how to approach or how not to :p or maybe this did the trick and got the girl. By not asking you may never know what may have happened. As for continuing the talk once she has agreed to do whatever it is you want just talk about anything that you are doing, tell her that you really like her shoes or her how she fixed her hair (If she is dressed up only). Do not go overboard remember this is your first conversation. By talking about whatever you guys are currently doing (party volunteer work ect...) you are both guaranteed to at least have something on common so thats a great place to start. About 6min+ into a good strong conversation make her laugh tell her a story make a joke trip so whatever just make it look natural. If things feel strong ask her out for some coffee or something. Not anything to date like just very simple cheap, or just invite her to another event like the one you are currently involved in. Another great way is to meet one of her friends if you don't already know one and ask them to bring you over to her (not to really introduce but to bring you into the conversation w/o looking like an idiot) the friend should already know what she likes and should really allow the flow of the conversation to go quite nicely.

If you happen to start dating (please take her out to starbucks or something first to get to know her before you ask her out for real) take her to a decent restaurant, one with waiters. Watch her very carefully as to how she treats the waiter not waitress (she might just hate her because she feels the waitress wants your body) if she mistreats the waiter take her out to another restaurant like 3 days later and see if she does it again. If she does more than likely she is going to be a mean girlfriend and get rid of her. Just take her home and break her gently. If she calls do not pick up the phone until the third call, when you pick it up tell her that you two just aren't compatible or some bs like that.

*Keep the compliments on the low if said to much you will look just strange and thats a turn off, when complimenting never say she looks hot or anything like that just say beautiful or something along those lines. Be honest if your not it will haunt you later.*

Don't become anything you're not to get her to like you, it's not worth it if you have to change yourself.

Tell some funny jokes when talking to her. If you have trouble starting a conversation, then talk about something you have in common. If you're in school and have classes together, then complain about something you know she'll agree to, whether it's a teacher, test, homework, or school in general. Be nice, be courteous, act like a gentleman. Oh, and, ask for her screen name once you feel comfortable asking for it. You may find AIM an easier method of communication. And don't tell her that you get lost in her beauty, not yet. When you think it's time to ask her out/take it to the next level, then you can. Otherwise, she may find it creepy.

well i have read all the advice as of late and i would like to thank you all for the caring comments. i must say i went up and was myself and she accepted me as that and i did the small talk then we ended up talking for hours then we exchanged numbers so i hope this is going in the right direction.

Yes, definitely do not change yourself to adapt to what you think she wants.

This shows your self confidence is weak, and that if you do get closer then you might "change back" so-to-speak and ruin everything.

well, not change back, but slowly the change would wear off, and then she'd be like, "oh you've changed, and i don't know what happened etc etc."

the test for any of my friends when they find a girl they are interested in, is to bring them around the group of guys that we hang out with, if they can handle the jokes and the insults that we give to each other, then they are good to go.

just stand to them... lol.. i usually have my mouth shut.. and hang out with them.. it gets boring.. but most of my friends are all separated after middle school.. so i only hang out with the people i actually knew from middle school which most of them are girls.. hehe..
