Am I Hallucinating?

Well, about a day ago something happened that made me really depressed to the point where I was crying but without tears coming out of my eyes, because I was so depressed. I felt miserable, and now a day later I'm a lot better, but still easily upset.

Anyways, for one or two days now, as I go to sleep, if I open my eyes while I'm falling asleep or getting close to half asleep, I see weird things. I saw a tiger coming out of the wall until my eyes focused and realized there was nothing there (but I'd already gotten scared) and then I've seen other, indistinguishable things that kind of looked like animals maybe or monsters, I'm not sure.

Anyways, my question is, am I hallucinating, or are my eyes playing tricks on me? And is any of this related to me getting depressed?

yea mabye. prolly because of stress or depression. ive noticed from past posts that your parents arnt much help in this area, but urge for a visit to the phycologist. i have been to one just to talk, nad i think one could really help you. good luck!

It does sound like hallucinating. Perhaps depression is related. Same thing used to happen to me not that long ago, except for me, it was like birds, blackbirds.. meh. It hasn't happened at all lately, perhaps because I've been getting over a bit of depression. One can only speculate when there's no professional to diagnose officially.

I haven't hallucinated the past night, but I'm still a bit worried it might happen again. But I've gotten over what depressed me...

I think you should use computer subliminal messages.

I don't get it, but now I'm hearing really quiet, faint voices...

It's only at my house (not my dad's, I'm at my mom's right now).

I just feel like every time I realize something, I realize I've had it for years now. I've been hearing voices for years now, been terrified of things, seen figures in my room in the dark, etc. etc.

Does that mean I'm a schizophrenic?

not likely.

It's a vivid imagination. Out brains interpret the sounds we hear, some sounds are ambiguous, random noises with no meaning, however our brains have to make something of them and sometimes make an incorrect meaning. Same thing for sight. Everyone does it at some point. You see a shadow and think it is a person. Sometimes I see shoes and think it's my cat (when it's dark).

Honestly, it's you being stressed and anxious. If you don't have depression, you probably have some sort of generalized anxiety disorder. Again, see a ****ing doctor.

Well last time I went to the doctor and they said I was clinically depressed, they tried giving me pills but my mom stopped them. Simply by not paying for them.

So sadly, I can't do it. And I'm right now just.. like you said, fearing change. I don't want life to change. I want this misery to end, but I want it to stay this way.

I'll stop asking questions like this for a while (pertaining to schizophrenia and stuff, other things like that Am I going to die again aren't part of this).

By definition seeing things that aren't really there is hallucinating. Based off of what you have said in this post though sounds more like you have a combination of severe depression and paranoia. You are paranoid about having some disease that you do not actually have, but since your brain has fixed it self into believing it has this disease that it actually gives you the symptoms of the disease. However I believe you are looking for attention and this whole thing is bull****, since your parents will not give it to you, you look elsewhere.

Then kindly get the **** out of my thread. You know hardly anything about me, and I have no one else to turn to, so I simply ask here for people's advice. If my parents weren't such assholes, and my mom would've brought the anti-depressants back in 9th grade, I wouldn't be here.
