I used to feel the same thing and when I was getting a physical for track the doctor heard it. He sent me to a specialist for more checks and it turns out I had a heart murmur. It was really scary at first but it's not uncommon for young people to develop them. Basically my heart was trying to pump too much blood. Fortunately I didn't need any special treatment and I haven't felt the flutter in years.
