I got a similar error on install telling me that zune.msi could not be accessed due to a network error. I tried all the solutions above, but they didn't work. I just updated from IE6 to IE7, ran Unzoon to uninstall the old version, then ran the Zunepackage download. It installed without any problems and updated my zune firmware. YeHaa. Only took me a couple hours to figure out.
