Sadly, this didn't work for me. The shows were all grouped correctly under "TV Shows", but the episode names were gone and the sort order was (apparently) random.
I found a partial solution inside the Zune desktop app:
I changed the Title of each file to the show name (same as your solution), and added both the episode number and episode name to the Subtitle field (this can by enabled by right-clicking on the column headers, selecting 'Choose Columns' and placing a check next to 'Subtitle'). Now the episode info shows up correctly on the Zune, in the right folders.
The sort order, however, is based on the "Date Recorded" field, and I have not found any utility that will let me change it. If anyone knows of one......
