1. I hate the "iScene". I hate the iPod owners who critique every other player on the market. I hate the Microsoft haters, putting them down for every product, even though it has 87% of the market share for PCs and about half of that for the portable electronics market. I wanted to be the person who stood out in a crowd, and I wanted to be the one who was "outside" the trend.
2. I wanted a reliable product. Microsoft and Toshiba are 2 wonderful manufacturers, and I trust them to have the incentive to make such a good product.
