Correct, a full format, and restore the firmware, and reupload your songs/movies.
HOWEVER, there is no practical (user) need to undo the font hack. You are not losing 40MB of space. The fonts are stored on the system partition (approx 150MB in size) that isn't available for songs/music.

Reformatting is a good idea for hackers experimenting with custom fonts or font exploits (in that case you don't need to reload the songs all the time)

You can install 0,1,2,3 or all 4 of the TTC files. The name is all that matters.
You may want to play with them to use a prefered font where more than one font collection supplies the same unicode character (discussed on another thread), but not to save space.
You can browse the TTC files with various font tools, or check here for info of what's inside
