Plus, there's no way in hell the "disconnect from the internet thing" works. Certificates expire--typically they give you a month from when you last updated, meaning that you can't have them for more than 45 days...not bad, but still. I can tell you from experience that simply disconnecting from the net doesn't work. The songs still play after the trial ends, internet connection or no, until the certificate expires. Rights are basically rights to renew the certificate, not to play.
Meaning, basically, that if you go without your Zune pass for 46 days, and your music stops playing, you merely have to re-subscribe, renew the subscriptions, and then off you go.
