Fill 3 Gallon container from main tank.
Pour the 3 Gallons into the 5 Gallon Tank (there is now only room for 2 more gallons in the 5 Gallon Tank)
Take the now empty 3 gallon container and fill it again from the main tank.
Pour that oil from the refilled 3 gallon container into the 5 gallon container (that already has 3 Gallons), it will take 2 gallons to finish filling it up so when it's full (3-2=1) you have 1 gallon left in the 3 gallon container. |
