your way wrong dude . . . the headphone is output . . . think please your hearing sounds from your headphone then it means its output . . .

i think its not the cable because i tried my friends cable which definitely works and still the picture would not appear on the tv . . .

anyway... try connecting the zune directly to the tv instead of the multi-system adaptor.
i tried connecting directly at the back of the tv and tried using the ntsc or pal system on the zune and still the picture does not appear . . . it just shows like a signal being interfered . . .
