I guess you're right.
Now Fez, it depends on how it server works if I can just compress it. I know with Gmail, it scans inside the compression file for any unsupported file types. If it does this, then that won't work.
Maybe have a "trusted" account? For example, only allow people who have shown their trustworthiness to post .exes, like members of the Hacks and Mods team, ect. Thus, it would block in morons who just come in and try to crash the server, while allowing legit users to post their stuff.
