Assuming you are out of warranty, you might want to open it up / disconnect the battery / reconnect the battery and see what happens. It could be the battery, or you might have fried the circuit board - there's no way to know.

If that doesn't work, it's up to you if you want to attempt a battery replacement. It might be worth the $10 investment to try it.
