You can always release both, there's no rule against it. And we push it on everyone for a reason: closed source games
die. ZuneHero is already out of date and will become unplayable in the future as the firmware is again upgraded. Open source games can be fixed even after the original developer is long gone. It's in the interest of the Zune community to have open source games. Yes, .ccgames are simpler, but open source helps keep the game alive. So, if you want simplicity and a living game, release both.
