After making a few simple connections in my
head I have found that the reason the Zune freezes when syncing is because it overheats when u try to sync lots of stuff at once. So my simple solution was to wrap an icepack in a thin towel and put my Zune on top of it so it will stay nice and cool. After that simply plug it in and let it sync!
It worked for me and if your having the same problem try it!
