I'm trying to think about the map.... First we should establish game units (GU). This is the general BLOCK in the game. This block is invisible and the space which it takes up can be moved into and out of. A straight hallway would consist of several GU's in a line. Basically a GU is the amount of space a player takes up when he is alive. Let's establish that NOW and speak in those terms so we don't have any communication problems. Leef already show'd me a map grid which was made up of blocks. The user interface and other details can wait. Right now to get stuff up and rolling (and hopefully, to attract a few other people), me and leefy will be speaking mostly publicly. When more people start to help, we may have to move our chats elsewhere and just post updates here.
@leef: If the "draw distance" for the walls is going to be more than one GU, this game is going to get much more complicated. What do you think?
