I'm not sure what Microsoft is doing, but they need to do more than they are now. When Apple has a new iPod, it's in every major country in the world within a month. It took a year just to get the Zune to Canada. Granted, Apple has factories and stores all over the world, but Microsoft should be able to do something. People have shown they are willing to import Zunes from the US to get them in Asia, Australia, wherever... Microsoft just needs to make it easier on them, and many more people will buy it.
But if Microsoft isn't working on getting the device worldwide, they can do more than mediocre updates to the software and firmware, and can certainly do better than ruining the hardware with each successive update.
