TuneBite strips DRM by playing back the music and recording off the sound card's output. That's why it takes the full length of the song to remove it. TuneBite also causes the decoded music to be of lower quality if you reencode to a lossy format (MP3/WMA/AAC/etc.).
DRM removal info is probably off limits on this forum, so I'd recommend using the google to find out more.
