Let me get this straight,
1) You broke the EULA to hack the software - Cool, Props!
2) You shared it with the world - Awesome! Respect!
3) You put your name in the splash screen of the software that someone else wrote - ok, a bit vain but hey, it's your hack! I'm cool with that.
4) But heres the part I'm confused about - If I change the .js file text inside of the .dll file because I don't want to see your name every time I connect a buddies' Zune . . . I am "STEALING from YOU???"
Modding your hack is stealing from you? Reaaaaaaally. Interesting logic. And you'll report me to whom?
Wanna re-think that?
So, I have the .dll file in a zip file. Marsh, you make the call. I can upload it here - or not. (I could actually upload it wherever I please but I'm kinda old school - friendly and the like)
The text now reads "Welcome to the Open Social" , "Music Wants To Be Free"
Everyone knows you were the first. It's all over digg and every zune board in the world. Maybe a graceful bow and a hearty "Enjoy" to the scene at this point? An update to Wikipedia?
Marsh - Thoughts?
Readers? Opinions and Thoughts?
Ahhhh, a civil conversation in the tubes of the Internets. . . what next?
