i think you are slightly confused, linux is not firmware, it is an os, developed for pc's which happen to come standard with wide open doors to whatever os you might choose to boot, not so with the zune, firmware is the equivalent of a military bunker. If we want in, we need to either shell it to peices, or find a backdoor. good luck. (note: games on zune are almost the same as different firmware, i would have to check, but i do not think the zune firmware even runs during games. hmmph maybe one could break out of game mode and into open code. again....good luck)
