I only had 3, but I got them all out. Mine were impacted, which means they were way under the gum line, I think at least one was even buried under my jaw bone. So basically I had full fledged oral surgery. I got nitrous oxide and then an IV to put me asleep. It felt like no time had passed and it was over. They gave me oxycontin but I didn't take it because I figured it would make me sick. Instead they also prescribed me high dose Ibuprofen which I took every 4 hours, alternating with extra strength Tylenol every 4 hours. Which means every 2 hours I took something, Ibuprofen one time, in another 2 hours Tylenol, etc. My pain wasn't that bad. After a day I was able to eat normal food by being very careful and chewing in the front. My swelling went away after about 3-4 days. Then the biggest issue was just keeping stuff out of the holes, because the stitches dissolve and then they open up. Really it wasn't that bad though. The worst part is how careful you have to be eating for that first week. Good luck!
