But, I wouldn't really call Biggie or Mobb Deep underground, but they are good.

I see what you're tryin to do there, but most of them are more old school, than underground...OP would like most of them regardless. I mean...
Main Source's album "Breaking Atoms" went gold I believe...AZ went gold (maybe even Plat) on Doe Or Die, G Rap def went plat, BDK is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Big L is mult-platinum.
The rest though, Masta Ace is garbage other than "A Long Hot Summer". That album easily gets him into top-30 MC's of all-time though, such an underground classic...don't bother checking his other stuff out unless it's his posse album with eMc, "The Show".
Del Tha Funky Homosapien is a love-or-hate rapper, I love him on "Deltron 3030", other than that, he's okay.
MF Grimm has a classic 3-disc album, 40 good/great songs, 20 filler...worth checking out.
My suggestions:
- Ras Kass (Soul On Ice; album is fire)
- Kausion (3-man group founded by Ice Cube, only made 1 album "South Central Los Skankless" though it's probably my fav. West Coast album)
- Louis Logic (4 classic albums, the top rapper in the game right now...so slept on it's not funny...Sin-A-Matic > Alcohol/Ism > Misery Loves Comedy > Songs To Drink By...but all 4 are terrific)
- Andre Nickatina; aka Dre Dog (West Coast underground legend, get Cocaine Raps Vol.'s 1 & 2 and Raven In My Eyes...very great flow, good ear for beats)
- Prodigy (former top-5 lyricist back in his hay-day with Mobb Deep, now he keeps to the streets...my favorite rapper of all-time by miles, and HNIC is not underground, but it's conscience gangster rap at it's finest...Return of the Mac is last year's AOTY and HNIC 2 is one of this year's top cuts)
- MF Doom (you'll hate or love him...I suggest MM.. Food as an album)
