Default Hoodie Fear

I found this website of this guy who started a hoodie company to help get his girlfriend from the UK to the US and in this article I read he said he choose hoodies because there is a FEAR of hoodies in the UK. I kinda laughed at it and kept reading, he was serious, buying, selling and wearing hoodies have been BANNED in many shopping centers. People relate hoodies with criminal activity, people are hoodily profiled by the police. Heres some quotes from news articals I read.

"In May, Bluewater shopping centre in Kent banned visitors from wearing hoodies - and afterwards reported that visitor numbers were up by nearly a quarter against last year."

"Also in May, a 16 year old from Manchester was banned from wearing a hooded top for five years after a campaign of violence. In June, a head teacher in south Wales banned pupils from wearing hoodies."

"The controversy began after the country's largest shopping centre, Bluewater in Kent, outlawed the tops, along with baseball caps, as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour."

"Last year a 16-year-old boy from Manchester became the first person to be banned under ASBO powers from wearing a hoodie. Dale Carroll would face prison if he wore a hoodie or cap in public for a five-year period. He was a member of a gang of youths who ran amok in his neighbourhood for nearly three years. He tried to cut down a CCTV lamppost with a chainsaw, threw fireworks at cyclists and threatened someone with an axe."

You dont ban him from wearing a hoodie, you throw his ass in jail.

"It seems that children can do no right. Even when exam results soar, we are told it is only because standards have been so debased. And universities are queuing up to give gifted but privately educated students a good kicking, rejecting them for being the stuck-up little bastards that they must surely be."
