just wanted to add that i've been lurking around for a while! but to get the real deal i decided to register! ;D
i had to import a zune 8 (pink) and a zune 80 (black). LOVE THEM BOTH!
after my history with ipods and other mp3 players, creatives, cowons, meizus i decided to try something new, the only problem was to get them zu GERMANY. i dont have acces to the marketplace which is sad but the flawless handling of my zunes (WTF? WHO NEEDS THAT ANTIQUE SCROLLWHEEL MACHANIC) makes up for it. using the zune software is EASY! it even autoupdates my podcasts
and adds them to my zune.
when it comes to price and handling zune beats the **** out of the competition i'd say. drawbacks are there, no audible support (just tag your audio books as podcasts then it remembers the position you left hearing)no flac(you can convert flac to wma-lossless), no ogg(CONVERT AGAIN), cover arts are ****ed up sometimes, thank god they included a manual select posibility there, tagging is a breeze. JUST FRIGGIN LOVE THE SOFTWARE!!!
the zune software manages to keep up with my music library (120GB (lossless mostly)) quite nicely compared to itunes
