hmm. first of all, nobody should lose faith in God because we Christians act stupid and wrong at times (alot of times). Thats the whole reason we need God's forgiveness, we're sinful. The problem is that in the westernized world, Christianity has become so commonplace that people claim to be christian and even go to church but they are not, in fact, truly loving and living for God. They're just doing what they want every day, and then hitting church on Sunday. If you wanna leave christianity, it better be because of God. and he won't ever tell you to leave it, but to find a good church that is truly in His will.
As for Allah being the same as Jehovah...theres issues there. THe people that eventually became the muslims possibly once worshipped my God, but what they changed that when they began to claim he was something else. This extra stuff islam has added on is no good. The bible is the law and word of God. The WHOLE bible. and if you read it ALL it makes a lot of sense. the old testament and new testament do not contradict and are not separate.
Now I don't understand why a Muslim who thinks the gods are the same cannot believe that jesus is the son of God. He fullfilled every prophecy made about him by God through the prophets. of course, the ones concerning his return are still in progress =).
If jesus was a prophet...what was he here to tell us? seems to me he only preached how he was the way to heaven.
Furthermore...he claimed to be the Son of God...it had to be the truth or he was lying. thus, if he was lying about something that significant, he's not exactly a prophet is he?
So even if you believe our Gods are the same....mine is saying something different from yours...one is right, one is wrong, they are not the same! Jesus is the way, there is no other way. and before you say "thats not fair" let me remind you that what is just is that we be killed for our sins before God, but He is merciful and provided a free and perfect escape back to Him.
