I find it tiresome to try and classify bands into a specific genre. I find it pointless. I don't have time to sit a create musical sub-genre's in an attempt to separate a "good" band from a "bad" band. To me that's the only reason that people come up with these ridiculous sub-genres. They find it hard to put Slipknot into the same category as Zao because Zao is a good metal band and they don't want to sully the name of "metal" with the name of Slipknot so they make these stupid sub-genres in order to draw a definate line.

Am i alone? Don't you think it's a little ridiculous to say; "Slayer isn't metal, they're thrash"? It's stupid. I mean if you really wanted to get technical about it all, you could go so far as to say that Iron Maiden isn't Metal because they brought a punk influence into their music and seemed to ditch a lot of the blues influences that bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and UFO used as the foundation for the majority of their early song writing.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/
