No. i do not believe that we have evolved from apes. I believe that at one point we were "ape-like" in our characteristics and behavior and as our environments have changed over the years so as our physical, emotional and psychological characteristics.
There is no "church" to go to. In the beginning of The Church of Satan Anton Lavey's house (commonly referred to as the "Black House") in San Fransisco was a common meeting ground for Lavey's friends and family but very rarely to outiders. That house does not belong to the Church of Satan anymore. There are what we call "Grottos". This is merely a small congregation of Satanists in a local are that get together and hang out and do whatever else they want. (You can find more information on the actual Church of Satan webiste, I'd link it but I'm at work and they block the damn site for some reason... facists!)
Anton Lavey absolutely knew that he was going to be labeled as the bad guy. it's something that all of us Satanist realize and accept. The word Satan is a hebrew word that literally means Accuser, one to oppose or to question. This is what we Satanists are, we are the opposition to ALL theistic religions and spirituality. It was meant to be abrasive.
If you do indeed believe along the same lines that I do I highly suggest that you pick up and read the Satanic bible by Anton Lavey. If you are anything like me you will see a direct reflection of yourself within the pages of that book and I guarantee it will be an eye opener. If you do decide to read it,
