Based on this forum's reviews, I went with the clear plastic case. I wanted something with a belt clip, as I found that to be the best way to carry it when working out on various machines (don't really like armbands).
The Zune fits very well in the case, though it did get a bit of dust inside at first. I thought from initial looks that the headphone plug may not fit so well, but it seems to plug in securely. The case has no hole for the lanyard, so you'd have to take it out to use the included lanyard. One thing I'm not so keen on is the fact that the hold switch is almost impossible to use when in the case. It's not a major deal, as I only used the hold switch when I had to keep the Zune in my pocket. However, if they were going to put a hole like that in, they could have moved it to the end so the lanyard would could hook up.
The clip is a little flimsy, but works great. It allows the clip and case to come apart and slide back together, which is very nice if you want to check something.
Overall, I definitely like the case's looks and functionality. It is a very precise fit, and there are very few difficulties with controlling the Zune when it is in the case.
