I had one of the very first launch 360's, and about 3 months later, it red ringed. So, Microsoft sent me a brand new one within a week, that one lasted for about a year and a half, then red ringed. Now I'm on my third, its a 3rd gen, the one just before they started putting HDMI on every 360, and it hasnt red ringed yet.
