I play guitar, drums, bass some piano and I also do vocals (I think I've stated that before in this thread). I record my own music using a Line 6 Guitar Port and my PC. Here is a link of one of my own songs and a Symphony in Peril cover that I did.

I haven't really had time to sit and record anything in a while but I do play. I can understand what you're saying about listening to music and not playing it. I think that as musicians we are able to view music in a way that most people aren't capable of. We can pick apart a song and look at every aspect of that song and see/hear things that a non-musician might not necessarily pick up on.

All that aside, I really hate limiting myself or bands to labels. I'm not one that will typically break down a band and say "these are guys are Metalcore" or "these guys are MELODIC death metal". It's all metal with very few exceptions. If it's loud, heavy and in your face then it's metal. Who really cares about labels beyond that?

I don't care is a band is Christian or Satanic with their message... all I care about is the way the song FEELS. I don't care about lyrics as much as I care about the overall song and how it's all put together and played out.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/
