The usual suspects: make sure its not connected to a hub, some computers have hubs built in, easy way to check is to go to My computer, Right click, Properties, select hardware, click Device manager, from there expand USB controllers, and count how many USB root hubs you have listed, then count the amount of USB ports your computer has, if you have more ports than hubs, you will need to connect your zune to different ports until you find one that connects stably. Try to be sure not to use any USB extension cables, and if you can, get a charger for your zune. Try the hard reset... Look it up. If nothing else, try using UNZOONE to uninstall the zune software and drivers, and re-download the zune software and install it again, if even that doesn't help, try another computer.
