actually the zune hardware itself (internal components etc) are more than enough for a fully functional web browser, zune is based on windows CE devices, which are PocketPC's, Windows Mobile systems, and so on.. Pocket PCs from the early 2000s which ran with <300Mhz strongarm CPU still had internet explorer.. and the zune has a 533Mhz freescale CPU (strongarm derivative) so the RAM, CPU, and even OS can handle the browser idea, but the lacking components is a data entry device or keyboard... and possibly a touchscreen, but if a simple keyboard were added via the usb interface or something, it'd be fully able to surf the web.
