You're not being rude.
We are hoping for many fan contributed music and videos (nothing copyrighted or illegal), thus at the time we launched we included a page for videos and music.
We're new (only been live for two weeks) and yes, we hope to pay for ourselves with YPN and Chitika links, or any other ad network that works.
If you look to the right pane of this (obviously a much more popular, and developed site) website, what do you see? Adsense and Tribalfusion ads and that's how most site's pay the bills.
If we could do this without ads altogether we would, because I'm sure to some (like you), the ads make our site seem disingenuous but without any monetization it would be difficult for us to justify spending even a little bit of our time online looking for free or very cheap and valuable items for Zune.
To date, our site has received $4.76 in clicks from all forms of monetization, compare that to the time (approximately), 10 hours that has gone into searching for anything that might be of value to the Zune community, writing an article about it and testing some software out to review it, and, it doesn't make us look so fiscally responsible. Besides, if an ad is not of interest to someone why would they click on it anyway?
To summarize, we don't have any "free, legal" music or videos at our site. Do you have any? If so, please drop us a line.
