Zune software doesn't know my Zune is connected
Hi there,
I apologize if this has been asked, but I searched and didn't find this particular question. In the past few days, my Zune is not being recognized by the software. I connect it to the PC and the device turns on and charges. But the software doesn't recognize it. The "connected" icon on the bottom left of the screen reads, "No Zune device connected. Click to see settings." The past two times I've connected the device, I hear the usb sound disconnecting and connecting over and over for long periods of time.
Particulars: My zune is version 2.3 (1145). I use Windows XP. Things I've attempted include trying different USB ports, restarting the zune, restarting the pc, and turning the device off. I have searched briefly for a solution and have not found this particular issue. I've received no error messages. Any help anybody can offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
