actually i slightly mis-understood him
the reason the zune can communicate with ur computer wirelessly is because wireless-syncing is a feature, it doesnt get zapped to ur zune as soon as u put it in ur sync folder, u have to 1) register ur zune on a wireless network that is linked to ur computer, 2) go to settings > wireless > wireless sync on the zune to begin the syncing

and im pretty sure its not infrared, infrared is used in things like tv controls, wireless operations like syncing require.......can't remember wut wave wifi is but im pretty sure its not infrared
