Many reasons:

Folks working at the Apple store were snobs when I mentioned my old player (Sandisk) and saw my Blackjack phone
I-Pod felt cheap compared to the Zune 30's sold feel
Zune now has non-DRM music available
Zune can now be a guest without erasing all content and you can easily copy music from the Zune to the desktop software
Brown was just my color
$79.00 at Woot
