ExtremeTech announced its thoughts over the past year and who's deserving of the top tech trends of 2007. Ringing in at number 6 is Zune and Xbox 360. More after the clickers.....
Looking back at the past year is never easy. As humans, we tend to think about the last few days, not the last 12 months. I can't remember what I did last week, much less what passed through my mind in February or June.
So it took a lot of surfing to come up with this list. It was fun surfing, though: The memories came flooding in as I checked out products and tech trends that happened this past year. While they blast Windows Vista, they speak favorably on the Zune: Zune 2.0 software, which works with both original and new "Zune 2" players, comes with a host of new features. One of the most welcome is the ability to sync your player via its built-in Wi-Fi networking, something that the device should always have been capable of. Another feature that should have been there before is podcast support, which Zune software 2.0 does very well.
Rounding out the top 10 are gaming, Terabyte drives, and DRM-free music which Zune Marketplace does as well. Let's see what's in store for Zune in 2008! Happy New Year everyone!
