Tired of the Zune program eating up processor speed like there's no tommorrow? Well so am I, which is why I was so glad when leesman figured out this easy little mod to make your Zune program run much much much much much smoother.
What This Does
This hack temporarily disables the Zune Marketplace. Now, you're
probably thinking "Well, maybe I don't want to do this then." Well
don't. This hack is TOTALLY worth it. Your Zune program will run 10x
faster with the marketplace disabled (just like WMP11).
Whenever you want to go back into the Zune marketplace, all you have to
do is go back and rename your modified ZuneMarketplace.dll back to it's
original name. Easy.
This hack allows an easy toggle of the marketplace in the Zune Software. The benefits of disabling the Marketplace are detailed here.
This will place an icon in your system tray that you can right click
and turn off the marketplace, as well as start the software. To add
this to your start-up, simple run the install.bat included in the rar
file. To uninstall, simply go into your startup folder and delete the
ZMA program. To run it just double click the icon, however you will
need Java installed. This release will only work with the default
install location.
NOTE: Make sure your ZuneMarketplace.dll file is activated BEFORE running this program.
This is only the alpha release, Beta version will hopefully be released sometime next week, with many new features. For more information and download, go here .
