Want to make the switch to WP7?

Then you should probably give this a go. Microsoft has made a website for Android and iOS users to get a taste of the OS before actually making the leap. Point your phone's browser to http://aka.ms/wpdemo in order to give it a try.

The site is written in HTML5, and it does check your useragent, so it may block you if it deems your browser incompatible. I don't have a smartphone so I couldn't try there. It blocked me when I tried in Opera, but Chrome's desktop version was a success. I imagine Safari's would work as well, but I don't have that to test. Internet Explorer is also blocked.

The demo itself is accurate, if sparse. It leads you through various features of the phone, from calling to the People hub, with little blue dots that tell you whether to tap or slide. Movement is smooth, though it doesn't quite seem to agree with a mouse. Occasionally text seems to build up and overlap, though I assume that's because of my browser. You can't click around freely, but are lead on a track designed to show you the important things. It really can't substitute for holding a device in your hand and seeing how things like live tiles work though. Still, if moving to WP7 is something you're considering, this is definitely worth a look.
